Ministry Rebuilds Village

Hamada Ruins is a village located south of Tulkarem. Residents of the village had no running water, electricity, sanitation or paved roads, and village students were forced to walk five kilometers every day to reach school. The situation forced the residents to abandon Hamada. Following Wattan Citizen Journalism’s report on the conditions in the village and the departure of its residents, the Ministry of Local Authorities stepped in to begin the rebuilding of Hamada and the improvement of its public services.
